Baboons

From the point of view of evolution, humans and baboons are close relatives. Although I do not know it in detail, they share 92 percent of their genetic material I have heard before. This large overlap humans and baboons surely offers persuasive support for the popular notion that baboons, and other monkeys, are practically human. However, all things are not clear. I have heard chimpanzees and gorillas were bear to humans. But I do not know humans and baboons are close relatives. I am also interested in the question.
